Risk Rating Mapping
Standard & Poor’s Risk Rating Mapping evaluates the effectiveness of financial institutions' internal rating systems and benchmarks them against either Standard & Poor's rating scale, an internal scale, or a third-party's scale.
The mapping process begins with a comparison of commonly rated entities that is supplemented by rating estimates on unrated obligors and a review of the client's historical ratings performance on default and ratings transition.
