Standard & Poor's Recovery Analytics are supplementary assessments of a security’s recovery prospects in the event of default under various stress scenarios. Our structured finance credit ratings primarily address the potential for a security to incur a loss (i.e., default risk), but do not explicitly communicate our view of the magnitude or timing of projected future losses. Given the complex nature of each structured finance transaction, variation in payment priority and collateral performance may create a unique loss and recovery scenario for each security.
In our continuing effort to provide more transparency to market participants, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services publishes recovery assessments for several structured finance assets. Please click on each asset type below for a detailed description of the recovery methodology.
