Index Data Platforms
S&P Indices currently provides two platforms to access data, IDP and SPICE. SPICE was developed to replace IDP. We will communicate details on the transition as index data becomes available on SPICE.
SPICE
SPICE is a new and enhanced data delivery platform, providing the following key benefits to clients of S&P Indices data packages:
- Better search capabilities (Index Criteria Search)
- Ability to access all index and constituent data (based on subscription)
- More download and customization features
- Performance graphs
- Latest press releases, methodologies, and announcements
- Improved S&P Intraday display

SPICE is currently available with full historical index, constituent and corporate actions data for the following families:

IDP
The Index Data Platform (IDP) is a web-based portal that delivers daily comprehensive index data. In addition to end of day index data, the platform offers news, research, and reporting functionality.
