S&P Municipal Bond Maturity Based Indices |
The Standard & Poor's Municipal Bond Index is a broad, market value-weighted index that seeks to measure the performance of the U.S. municipal bond market. All bonds in the index are exempt from U.S. federal income taxes or subject to the alternative minimum tax (AMT). The maturity based sub-indices classify the bonds included in each respective sub-index by minimum term maturity as of the rebalancing reference date.
